colonoscopy woes - please read

My first colonoscopy came 6 days into a hospital visit in which i had only recieved intravenous nourishment and one clear broth per day. Somehow, they couldnt see further than the "hepatic angle" because of feces. I only showed inflammation in the rectum and sigmoid, but they needed to be able to see the whole thing just to be sure.

Today I had another one, 6 months later, and I prepped rigorously. 2 days of clear liquids only diet. Laxatives plus enema. Enema was successful and produced an almost completely clear evacuation.

But before going into my procedure my intestines were turning and i could feel them starting pushing something down. When I woke up from my colonoscopy I immediately had a series of watery diarrhea. Clear/yellowish liquid but with with some granule like brown matter at the bottom or little bits of feces and mucous.

I now fear that, once again, this colonoscopy will have failed because their was some feces in my colon.

How the f--- are you supposed to have a perfectly clear colon?? Should I be more optimistic about the scope success?

I wouldn't worry unless they tell you to.

I cannot believe that your doc didn't come and speak with you..worrying changes nada though, and it really does sound like you did a thorough clearing out of your bowel, so hopefully you will have a better understanding of what is going on this time when you get your results.
