You can get fluids at the ER. IF you can't drink them, then at some point you will need to go for fluids. BUT, the ER is not going to do much to further diagnose any motility, energy, or IBD issues if you are stable after getting fluids. That is not how ER's work, and except for extreme cases with lots of bleeding, hospital inpatient is not how IBD is treated.
I do not think the Pantiloc is going to make you better. It primarily treats the esophagus and works against acid. So it is only mitigating the effects of throwing up so much, maybe making your stomach a bit less sour.
It can also aggravate your UC because more food proteins get into your gut w/o being broken down, and in rare cases people can develop food allergies with long term use.
You have stopped both your immuno-modulator and your anti-depressant, and are relying only on Remicade. You are self medicating with narcotics that are left over from old prescript
ions. (These can even cause nausea. Something to think about
.)
You are becoming dehydrated. It sounds like you don't have a GI appointment set up, and have not spoken with the nurse at the GI office. You have found the hospital has not offered you much in the past, yet seem to want to go in again.
I would have a very clear sense of what exactly you want them to do.
I would also try to force fluids, maybe also taking some pedolyte. Even if you throw up 15 minutes later, a good amount will be absorbed. Try everything to avoid dehydration.
Maybe instead of an antacid medication, try to get an anti-nausea medication. Once the nausea is controlled try to resume the Imuran and anti-depressant.
How long until your next Remicade infusion?
You are in a hard place, and I sympathize with your discomfort and fear. But unless you get very dehydrated the ER does not strike me as the answer. Having stopped oral meds, I think you need to be seeing a physician - not just having your mom go get some pills. No doc is going to prescribe too much of anything without seeing you. The ethics of prescribing get iffy when they have not physically seen you in some time.
