Thanks bania, looked it up. Almost all infusion centers near me are Cancer specialists. That was for Remicade. Kind of depressing. I will have to deal when the time comes.
that was the worst part for me, being there for about
3 hours, I agree that it was depressing but the nurses were truly wonderful people for which you have to be for a job like that. For a couple of hours of my time there I would need to take a nap from all Benadryl so it wasn't all that bad.
I had a discussion about
it with the nurses and they told me that Fridays were the best days to have infusions because most Oncology patients did not have infusions that day. Just in case they had a reaction to the Chemo, most of the regular oncology doctors were off on Saturdays. So Mondays-Thursdays were the biggest days for Chemo infusions at the infusion center near me.
