Has anyone else had this? I was getting some blood work (micronutrient testing) from a functional doctor (doctor/naturopath) and they could not give me results because my lymphocyte count was too low. It's the holiday weekend and I haven't been able to talk to anyone about
it but of course I'm worrying about
it. Has anyone had this? I'm weaning off prednisone and read that can lower the lymphocyte count but the doctor said it wouldn't lower it that much.

Prednisone can cause some wacky numbers in bloodwork; not so sure on lymphocyte counts. Are you on any immunosuppressive medications for uc: imuran, 6mp, or aza? Pred and immunosuppressive meds can lower your white blood cell count.

No I'm just on prednisone and sulfasalazine, Ive never been on an immunosuppressant. I was only on 7.5mg prednisone at the time of the bloodwork too. Predisone makes my uc worse too, I wonder if it's related. Weird

Prednisone usually makes my counts higher. I've had all sorts of whacky counts but I am on 6mp so I think it's somewhat normal.
