Inflammatory biomarker levels (lysozyme, alpha anti-chymotrypsin, intestinal SIgA) to detect significant irritation of the small or large intestine

elevated lysozyme + alpha anti-chymotripsin are specific to colonic inflammation, elevated alpha anti-c with non elevated lysome indicates small intestine inflammation

Would it be called calprotectin stool test? Also how do you find the olive leaf extract. I've wanted to try it

I get it from my doc because his price is good.. lemme see what I can find in australia... maybe you can make a fortune importing it? ;)

But you really have to take it right and in therapeutic doses. so 30 min before food breakfast and dinner and at bedtime.. your reaction determines how much you take... detoxing is a really good idea too.. because if you have been taking anything, rx or herbal.. for a long period of time your liver has been processing it and probably falling behind in the detox portion of your life cycle. If you take any natural or rx substance that kills any bacteria, virus, parasite or fungi you have too quickly it poisons you.

start out with 500 mg each dose and see how you feel.. if ok, go to 1000 each dose... If you have constipation then you have to get your bowels moving atleast once a day when you take these things that kill off any bugs you have lurking. If you dont, you will just reabsorb the toxins, or in the case of parasites you just let their eggs complete the cycle again.

Got my sodium butyrate in the mail today. I took one orally and mixed two into an enema. Here's to shoving more stuff up my bum! turn

hey guys. i saw on amazon that they have magnesium and potassion butyrates, too. is there a big difference between those and the sodium kind? there's 960 mg in the sodium butyrate i was looking at and that is pretty high- that's almost half of the days worth of salt that is recommended for adults.

I just ordered Sodium Butyrate by BodyBio on eBay.

So this is good for someone with leaky gut, candida, and gut dysbiosis? My gut is overrun with bad bacteria after the last few colonics. My sulphite/sulphur sensitivity has gotten worse, and I'm finding myself allergic to everything now. :-( I am already underweight, very weak, and skinny (except for a distended gut and SIBO).

I am now eating only fresh raw lettuce, carrots, celery, zucchini, .... not sure how long I will last before I become allergic to these as well.

Hi, I had to get a colostomy bag due to my colon completely rotting out during my pregnancy. I'm up for reversal surgery but can't see
To get rid of this pesky rectum inflammation. My doctors suggested hydrocortisone enemas first and I seen results the more diligent I became but then the sodium butyrate enemas were suggested. I was supposed to be on it since mid July. But couldn't afford until the 1st of this month. And I'm panicking because the blood has come back along with the urgency is this normal in the beginning stages of using this med or should I be using the hydrocortisone as well?

I did have proctitis and tenesmus.. It was one of my longest standing issues and the last to resolve, hence why I was having to do daily enemas a few month back cause things couldn't get out..I'd have to hydrate from the bottom to soften the first part of stool. I think I have some scar tissue because occasionally it feels like something kinda, loosens for lack of a better term, when I have larger diameter stools.

I have really bad proctitis and tenesmus and I am planning to take the sodium butyrate. I am glad to see you had success taking them orally. My question for you - do you think orally will be just as good as enemas for rectal inflammation? I was planning to do enemas but I am intrigued by your experiencing solving your proctitis by taking sodium butyrate orally. Thanks!!

No, based on the fact that it's topical...i would suggest you use both oral and rectal.

Try it and see if it works for you, and do report back.

Nobody can promise any one treatment for UC will or will not work for you. There's a chance it might, and there's also a chance it might not. You can cherry-pick success stories all day long, but I am sure there are a fair number of people for whom it did not work. But that's just UC, what works for people is highly variable and unpredictable.

What matters most is: did it work for you?
