Hi there -- I was taking BC pills before I was diagnosed, however I have stopped. I currently am not taking any form of birth control, only using condoms based on the warnings on the azathioprine as well as with the recommendation from my doctor if I take the pill to also use a condom. To me I stopped taking it because that means 1 less pill in my body every day and if condoms are needed why bother. So my major question -- has anyone on Azathioprine gotten anything like the implant in their arm to help prevent pregnancy? I am just curious what other types of options I might have besides BC pills since I am pretty much never going to take them again
Thanks!

I use the non-hormonal IUD called Paraguard and have had zero problems. I chose it because my body doesn't respond well to hormonal birth control.
IUDs are the most effective form of birth control because they eliminate the risk of human error.

I'm taking the Nuvaring and I'm doing well with it.
