Yay-I found a treat that not only does not cause IBS issues but also seems to have a positive affect. "Gin gin" is the name and I got some loose (ind. wrapped) at an out of town health food store.
I got the soft version but it also comes as a hard candy.
So much candy has ingredients that cause my gut problems (gas, urgency) that I had given up looking.
Anyone else tried this? Ingredients: tapioca starch, sugar, ginger and that's all! Happy tummy for hours afterwards.
I use ginger in cooking as often as possible due to it's health benefits but these candies fill in a needed category-afternoon snack. I feel as happy as when I could start drinking coffee again (half-caff but wonderful).
edit to add: so much happiness from $1 worth of candy seems like childhood
