And wishing her a very happy birthday. I can't imagine as a mother, how difficult it must be to have watched your child suffer like this.
Life is about to get much better for her and I'm very excited for you both.

Hoping for a quick and easy recovery. Big hugs to you both!!

They delayed surgery till after 2 today. Boy, she is having a horrible morning. Pain everywhere, even in the fetal position. Can't wait to get to the hospital.
Thanks for the well wishes-onward and upward. I guess every 21 years I should be in the hospital with her. Funny, when I read the first post I did in the early summer about Entyvio updates, I said, "let's heal this girl's colon by her 21st B-day". Almost like I knew today would be a milestone.

As a mom I know how hard this must be for you but also as someone who endured this surgery, this is the best birthday present she can get right now......her life back! Happy birthday wishes to her and a super speedy recovery!

Good luck today and happy birthday to your daughter. Looking back if I chose to have surgery a lot sooner and it happened to be on my birthday then it would have been the best birthday present ever. I can't put into words how much better I feel after having my colon removed.

I had my surgery delayed once like your daughter did, hopefully they put her in a nice waiting room with a comfortable chair, a blanket and a TV.

Wishing you and your daughter the best of luck today and for years to come. I sincerely hope this is the beginning of a healthy and happy life ahead. It's much harder to watch your child have to deal with this than to go thru it yourself.
