How do you stop a flare if pred doesn't work

Me and a couple others are flaring pretty good. I'm on 40mg of pred right now,..what do I do if the pred doesn't stop things while I wait for one of these other meds to work? Having tried diet mods(I still eat really good) I don't think at this point any diet changes would work.

The only real quick, short term option if you are waiting for biologics or immunomodulators to kick in is ciclosporin or tacrolimus

Yeah, that's what my doc has told me if things didn't improve by October. He's is pushing Tacrolimus.

Maybe a higher dose of pred or a different biologic. Diet has never had that great of an impact for me that it would wipe out a major systemic flare up. Maybe if things were mild it could do something.

When I flare I tend to react well to suppositories (Canasa) and enemas (Rowasa).
