I'm 5 months out from surgery now and I could honestly say I have never once looked back. It feels like I never even had Colitis to begin with, wheras when I did it was ALL I could ever think about
. My fiance and parents pushed me to have the surgery and I'm glad they did. I had a pretty horrible experience as far as complications and infections, but I would do it again in a heart beat. I was that 5% of people who they say something will happen to, except I was that 5% for about
%75 of the posssible complications, but again. Faced with the same situation i'd go it again.
Much like everyone else, I lived a nightmare with Colitis. I'm glad I was put intpo my position as young as I am (28) so that I wasn't dealing with that for the rest of my life, or until I was 40 or so and needed surgery at that point anyways.
