This ought to create some discussion. Wonder how many smoked pot as a teen and now have IBD.

Of course this is in mice.

Teenagers will always believe they are invincible so I don't think this will be a deterrent at all. Also, using mice and trying to extrapolate these findings to humans in unconvincing to me as a reason to stop smoking. If they test humans and find the same sort of thing, then I'll take it seriously, but until then... this just sounds like anti-pot propaganda.

That being said, I only ever smoked once as an adolescent. Still got IBD, but 5 years later. Highly unlikely it was because of that. I don't smoke as it is and my immune system is still messed up, meanwhile I have friends whose sole purpose in life seems to be to smoke pot all day but they don't have any health problems as far as I'm aware. Go figure.
