A stool test I used earlier this year was with a company called Doctor's Data, Inc. located in St. Charles, Illinois. My test was their comprehensive parasitology test that measured bacteriology cultures, yeast cultures, checked for parasites, and giardia/cryptosporidium.
The test cost approximately $140. I got my kit from a local naturopath, but I believe they can be ordered directly from the company. You simply add your stool to the sample containers and mail them to the company via UPS or Fed Ex (I can no longer remember which) in a pre-addressed envelope.
The analysis results were helpful and included information about how to deal with imbalances through a natural approach. The extra visibility to a bacterial imbalance I had helped me correct a bad infection. I recommend do-it-yourself testing because I never received the same information from my mainstream 'world class' health provider.
