Finding the right dose of prednisone

I've felt improvement after the first loading dose, but my prednisone weening is under 40 mg now and as that goes down my gut begins to complain more offsetting I guess anything the Simponi is doing. I've gone back up to 40 mg of prednisone yesterday and that day went really well - now to try to get myself back to 30 mg without my gut complaining.

What dose of prednisone were you on to begin with? It's really hard to tell if you're having results from the loading when you're on a high dose of pred. :( I wasn't on pred when I took simponi and I didn't have results so I guess i was a non-responder.
