I had no luck with any of the probiotics I tried. They just made no difference.
My big suggestion is to listen to the advice on the board and Nancy Reagan - Just Say No to flagyl. It is a waste of time and money. I did not listen and shame on me. Plus you run the real risk of feeling like crap. Vancomycin is worth a shot. It helped me for a bit.
For me Difficid was the rock star drug. It knocked C-Diff out and I have not had an issue since. However it is a spendy drug.
As someone else mentioned Fecal Transplant is another proven effective method. Although there are still not many doctors that do it. There are websites that will show you how to do it at the house...although maybe not the most pleasant option.
My suggestion before doing fecal transplant is to do your research. My concern is not the efficacy of the treatment but the impact of gut biota on overall health. This is based on the continuing research showing how much this impacts your overall health. I do not know how the fecal transplant my or may not impact this. However it is worth looking into further.
