OT - Anyone uses foot warmers

Hello folks,

I am looking for foot warmers while I work. Its been almost 4 years, every winter, I get very tender red spots on my toes, which last year dermatologist diagnosed it as something that results in cold weather, blood vessels shrink and looks like beginning of gangrene. Goes away after clobetasol use and warm air daily. Now looking into foot warmers.

A $20 space heater from walmart works fine, put it on the floor by your feet and you'll be nice and toasty.

I wear big warm slippers and slipper socks. A space heater would probably be helpful too.

What kind of work do you do? If it's office work, there are many options. From foot warmers to space heaters and there is even a heating slipper like thing that you slip your feet into. I have to keep my feet warm as well due to Raynauds. I usually just wear thermal socks. I tried the foot warmer inserts but I found they only keep either the top of my feet warm or the bottom, not both.

Cabelas sells rechargeable, heated insoles. They are pricey for sure, but I sure would like to try them out.

I'm not quite sure about foot warmers, but I do own socks. Those things warm my feet up pretty well to be honest. I think keeping your behind warm is the best thing for colitis, there are seat warmers you can buy, they're pretty awesome when coupled with foot warmers.

My boyfriend gets those too. I made him some fleece boot liners (I'm no seamstress but they're functional). They seem to help. Just make sure there's enough space in your shoes. They also sell thermal insoles. We got my brother a pair for Christmas called Hotties. Good luck!
