Benzoyl peroxide safe for UC?

Ive been trying to combat some bad hormonal acne on my back, shoulders and chest for a few months now. 2 months of prednisone only made the situation worse. I tried tetracycline which is an antibiotic and that put me into my worst flare yet, which was why i got put on the prednisone in the first place. Now im off the pred and only taking my maintenance drugs.

My question is: Ive looked into Benzoyl Peroxide and ordered a bottle of body wash containing 10%. Does anyone have any experience with this worsening your UC symptoms?

I think since it's only topical and doesn't seem to have any sort of systemic antibacterial effect, I can't imagine it would cause any UC problems.
