Hiya, I've never tried Salofalk, but I did try Mezavant for a while, and I did not get on with it.
I have always been on Asacol, when I am in remission I feel very good, but I do get occasional flare-ups. The hospital doctor decided to try me on Mesavant instead, in about 2009, as he said it was better than Asacol. I was in remission at the time, but I felt so ill on the Mesavant. I tried it for a few months, but I constantly felt as if I needed the ladies, and quite nauseous aswell. So I went back to Asacol, and felt instantly better. The doctor was surprised, as he said most people get on better with Mesavant. Oddly, he was also keen on it because you only had to take it once a day, instead of 3 times like Asacol. I have no problem with taking pills 3 times a day, so I don't know why it bothered him.
2 days sounds quite early to judge how your body is reacting. That said, you should be able to ring a doctor, someone must be covering your doctor. He can't just leave you for 2 weeks when you are ill like that, especially in the middle of a flare-up!
Have you tried ringing the hospital? There must be another doctor who can help. If I remember rightly, you need a better doctor anyway.
