If you have to go on antibiotics for the tooth, you should increase probiotics for a while too.

To make light of things, I had a root canal while on 6mp without any antibitoics and I pulled through just fine. On the other hand, I recently got a bad infection (not while on 6mp but i was on other medications) and I ended up in the hospital. it's really impossible to predict how you will react. If the dentist recommends an antibiotic, it's probably best to take their advice. As for rectals, II often use them AM & PM. Usually I prefer the Canasa in the AM

sorry i misread, your tooth is already infected, you will most definitely need an antibiotic :(

clyndimycian is a bad one for UCers. I took bactrim without any horrible flare up.

Hope all goes well. Enemas at night, suppository in the morning/early day after majority of bms.

Probiotics are a MUST...Enteric coated....take them at night on almost empty stomach an hour or two after antibiotics.
