I am not sure the standard should be whether it can all by itself end a flare. (Anyway flares come in all sizes form mild to deadly.) It does have anti-inflammatory properties, and unless there were side-effects, it would be recommended along with many other anti-inflammatory foods. Anecdotal reports seem consistent with this.
Personal experience is not consistent with this and that trumps all other information available. Turmeric, p-seed powder, these things I notice a difference from. Heavy salmon, F-Factor bars those things have stopped flares for me, there are hundreds of anti-inflammatory supplements so I cannot pin my hopes on all of them. If they don't work for me or if they work for someone on prednisone - no change for its status.
