B12 and pro biotics

I see many people mention B12 and pro biotics. Is that something generally recommended. I take appriso 3.5 x 4 but have had a bad flare and doc wants me to go on injections. I pay out $450 a month and cannot afford any more. Are injections more than this?

Why is he moving you straight to injections? He is bypassing other meds?

Most of the non-generic uc medications have patient copay reduction programs. Check the resources thread, at the top of this forum. Many teduce large copays to $50 or less per month.

Are you talking about B12 injections? I just started them about a month ago. I've definitely noticed a difference in my energy level.

I have had B12 injections every month for 2 years. I can definitely tell when it's time to get another one. My booty is dragging. :)

it is not clear if you mean B12 injections, to help with energy and blood platelets, or if you mean the biologic Humira.

There are other 5-asa besides Aspiro. In some cases a switch helps. Also there are rectal 5-asa, although these are more pricey. Humira would be very pricey, but there may be manufacturer assistance.
