If you get no responses, you can go to ratemds.com. This is a peer based website of doctors with various specialties.
That's how I found my GI (ratemds.com)when I moved and she was as good as reviews said. Unfortunately she "retired" due to health and having small children and maybe because she was a sole practitioner which is very hard. Her patients (including me) were transferred to an equally well-rated GI group and I'm happy with who I got.
My current condition does not need much hands-on and I know what my choices are Rx-wise. I'm mainly trying to keep away from pushy GI's who want a c-scope every year because I do not need it. I need a good office and nurse who keeps my RX up to date with pharmacies.
However don't believe every good review you read. Hubby and I got our primary doc that way too (ratemds.com) and I have left him after malpractice on his part and very bad office staff. He's good at some things but very negative about
referring a specialist (which I needed) and took close to 4 weeks to give me biopsy results even though I called several times and they had the results in a week. Yes, positive for squamous skin cancer and the doctor or nurse never called to tell me or responded to my calls.
My hubby stayed with him but is leaving as soon as he can find a new primary because he also had bad treatment a year after I left. The lack of enough primary doctors (SW Florida-where going to the doctor is a leisure activity) means it's very hard to get a good doctor.
Being on Medicare with supplemental insurance is desirable in SW Florida (I'm not but hubby is) because they pay very fast which doctors like even if it's not huge $$.
