If it ends up in your butt and not running down your leg, you did it right.

I do mine standing up, holding the bottle in my right hand, while reaching around my right side. It's the only way it's worked for me. I feel lucky because lying on the bathroom floor is cold.

When I do it on the floor or in bed, I tend to make a little mess.

when using enemas (or even suppositories before I started using enemas)I did it while sitting on the toilet, leaning forward, reaching around, the rest is self explanatory I think...

As long as you get all of the fluid in without air, then you're fine. I sit on the the toilet, raise my butt slightly for better access, administe and any drips/spillage of fluid goes directly in the bowl, flush to cleanup. I've found it easier and quicker than laying a towel down.

I also often administer it on the toilet. I used to do it in bed without any problems. I used keep a supply of bottles in the bedside table and pop one in while laying on my side, put the cap back on and place it on the floor for pick up in the morning.
