Extraintestinal complications (that is other autoimmune issues) occur in approximately 20-25% of patients with IBD. Additionally autoimmune disorders come with time, not all at once. I got eczema after 3 years of uc (psoriasis is a similar autoimmune skin issue), others get other things.
Yes, we're at increased risk of blood clots compared to the average person, I've heard it from several nurses, although not the exact odds. Osteoporosis is more common from repeated steroid use. Eye troubles are more common as well. All under the same context, at increased risk compared to the average healthy person; not everyone with uc gets them.
