Anyone out there have success with Entyvio after developing antibodies to Remicade? This is looking like the next step for me before considering surgery. Currently on 10 mg/kg of Remi every 8 weeks and take VSL#3 as my probiotic. Any advice on the transition would be helpful!

I don't have personal experience but both work completely differently so it's very possible Entyvio could work even though you had built up antibodies to the Remi and it should be safer than Remi as well.

I am curious about
this too. I never responded to remicade so I can't say whether it would work for me that way. I am not sure entyvio is helping me either so i don't know. :( You should join the entyvio warriors group on facebook. There are tons of people, lots who have built up antibodies. I am sure that group accounts for a lot of the success stories with entyvio.

Theres no correlation between the two drugs with regard to response. BUT very new pediatric data on vedo showed that there is a positive correlation between time since Remicade and response to Entyvio.

I will also be looking into this if needed. Is this your first time on Remicade or are your trying to go back on it? How long were you on Remicade before trying to go to Entyvio?

I have better results with entyvio than Remacade. Just had my 6 th infusion today. My UC. Is under control not perfect , but much better.
I have 1 or 2 bMs a day , mostly solid. And I can go out shopping with out worrying about
having accidents

I transitioned from Remicade to Entyvio recently and it's been great. I didn't develop antibodies to Remicade, it just didn't work for me. Like others have said, Entyvio isn't perfect and I'm not in remission, but I'm able to live without constantly thinking about
my GI tract.
A surprise bonus with Entyvio is the infusion speed. I'm done in 30 minutes instead of 90-120 minutes with Remicade.

I also tried Remicade and it did nothing for me. Just had my second Entyvio infusion last week and I feel rather great. First time I can go out to eat and then go shopping right after without fear or speeding all the way home! Humira failed me as well so I wasn't expecting much from this drug. So glad I tried it.

I tried Remicade and Humira, didn't work, tomorrow is my third infusion for entyvio, from here on out it will be every 8 weeks. No improvement yet on entyvio, what works for me is Pred and Cipro, still have urgency though, but it helps me a ton. Can't live on the pred though and can't live on antibiotics either.
