Do most people do fine with lactaid milk? I wouldn't mind drinking it throughout the day for the nutrients.

All you can do is try it. How much milk would your drink normally in a day?
lactaid is much sweeter in taste.

Just a full glass. I have it everyday with my cereal with no problems but you don't consume much while eating cereal. A full glass seems a bit scary but I was wondering if people in a flare typically handle it ok.

Lactaid milk is too sweet for me I use skim milk on my cereal and the few times I eat cake!

As far as I can tell, I do fine with lactaid milks and cream, it's not often I have cold cereal but when I do use lactaid milk I have no issues, thing is if you're lactose intolerant you have to read the cereal labels too and take a lactaid pill even though you're using lactaid milk because that doesn't mean it's doing anything for the other lactose ingredients you're probably ingesting from the cereal or something else you might be eating while having a glass of lactaid milk to drink with along with it.
I find it slightly sweeter than regular milk but not enough to make me dislike the taste, it's also nice that you can get it in skim, 1%, 2% and coffee cream which I love with my one cup I have mostly everyday.

My husband has been using Lactaid for the last week with no issues. He hasn't noticed a taste difference at all but he likes sweets so sweeter milk wouldn't bother him at all. I've also made three batches of SCD yogurt (with regular milk) and he hasn't had any issues with that either. He's always been a little lactose intolerant but is just now starting to avoid it with the new UC diagnosis. I guess since he hasn't had any problems with any of it (including the Breyers that Alice22 mentioned!) it really is the lactose and not the casein that he has a problem with (thank goodness!).
