Anyone on Humira have gotten tattoos while on it? I just got my tattoo worked on, and it is stabbing quite badly. None of my other tattoos did. The only thing that is different is imuran/Humira combo. I'm wondering if my body can't heal it very well due to this

You are also much more susceptible to infection. Your immune system is being shut down by the medications you are on this is to prevent immune system from attacking yourself but it also prevents your body from attacking pathogens.
I would be very wary before getting tattoos while on biological or immuno suppressant medication
Is it possible the pain is from irritation or infection? I do not have much experience with tattoos hopefully someone else will come along who does.

I haven't seen many posts on here about tattoos.

Thanks guys. I think the ointment I was using was messing the tattoo up, I switched and it is healing better now

Which ointment are you using now? I was always told to use Aquafor on mine.

I just got my 4th in May. I didn't have any problem healing but the heavy black out lining took a while to absorb.

What did you get?

That's not true, if your immune system was shut down you'll die from a common cold.

Could you provide citation regarding this ? Sorry for asking, I don't want this forum to be polluted with pseudoscience.
