hello everyone!

i just have a question about experience with leg pain.
ive had it for the past two weeks possibily. i got off prednisone aug 23 and receive my fourth treatment of remicade tomorrow. i only really have the "pain" when i stand. its not necessarily pain, but more of a throbbing maybe? its hard to explain. but its in my hips, legs, knees, and ankles.

if anyone has had this experience, please let me know! its a huge problem at work and school and it needs to go!

It may be from stopping prednisone. How long were you on prednisone? Is it joint pain or leg pain? How is remicade working for you?

i started like the first week of june. its in my knees, hips, and ankles. remicade for mee has been the greatest thing ever. its a night and day difference for me!

I bet it's from the steroids. It should get better, did you take calcium? You should. Prednisone is very bad for your bones.

Probably from the prednisone but there have been several people experiencing joint pains due to Remicade.

ive also heard negative side effects of remicade, but i think id rather take other medications and such to help the side effects rather than not take the remicade, tit works so well and i havent been on anything else

I have some pretty bad joint pain on remicade. like others said it could be its because I was on a lot of steroids recently.
however I am debating not telling my GI about the joint pain because I dont want to be taken off remicade as it saved my life.

Dikid, are you completely off steroids now? I'm so glad Remicade has been working for us. I don't think not telling your GI is a good idea I don't think they would take you off remicade because of joint issues. I have been having issues as well with my knees and wrists and had slightly swollen ankles. My knees were mostly messed up from supporting the weight of my atrophied body, so working out the muscles around my knees and stretching helped. Stretching and massaging (I even got a few professional massages) the area around my wrists helped a lot too. I mean I really stretched out my wrists, it was intensely painful but I felt better the next day. This isn't something I would just try though, and think you should talk to your GI.

Yes I know I told him
He ordered some tests 1. Anti dna double stranded ab 2. Antinuclear ab 3. Histone autoantibodies 4. Infliximab conc with reflex to antibody
