I had the scope way back in May and the paper said "mild patchy inflammation". This was finally my follow-up appt and he said that the inflammation was so mild and since I have no symptoms at all he is calling it clinical remission. I know that some of you will say that as long as there is any inflammation it's not really remission, but I like my doc's definition :) It definitely made my morning!!

Congrats!!! Glad you're feeling better symptom wise even though there's still a bit of inflammation...I always find it so strange that some with a small amount of inflammation can still have severe symptoms while others feel great symptom wise, just shows that this is a very grey disease, not black and white, just because you have some inflammation present doesn't mean your still going to have symptoms as many seem to believe. Hopefully the bit of inflammation you still have will soon clear up so it's not doing anymore damage.

Thanks everyone!! I hope it lasts the rest of my life!! :)
PB, I would be surprised if there's any inflammation left now. That scope was done 4 months ago and at that time I was still seeing faint traces of blood 1-2 times a week. Haven't seen even a spec since about
a week after that scope.

Just wondering "mild patchy inflamation" was on biopsy or just visually. I am on 6mp and symptoms are not bad but biopsy showed inflammation.
Wish you a long remission.

The biopsies confirmed what he had seen visually -- mild patchy inflammation. Apparently it's so mild that he's not at all concerned about
it.
Thanks!
