Humira fatigue/flu-like side effects

Hello! Looking for feedback from anyone with similar symptoms and how you deal/dealt with it.I've been on Humira for over 7 years...the past 4 years I've been on a weekly shot. I always had flu like symptoms putting me down for 1-2 days after I took it...mainly fatigue, dizziness, headache. In the past year, I have noticed that sometimes the side effects lingering longer, making it 3-4 days. This is getting very frustrating, feeling this way every week is tough, now along with the uncertainty of how long it will last. The Humira has put me in remission, but I'm wondering since I'm in remission, does my body react differently with the side effects, making them last longer. I brought it to my GI docs attention. Although there is a test to check if you are developing antibodies to Humira, he doesn't want to test because my uc isn't flaring. Sometimes I feel like docs aren't concerned about the side effects of meds..it's all about controlling the uc. I'm glad I am in remission, but the trade off of being sick so much is starting to wear on me.

The only side effect from Humira that I've gotten was horrid headaches, but a tip from a member here at HW (ks1906) told me that taking an antihistamine can aid with those headaches and sure enough and thankfully it has...I take one before bed the night I do my weekly shots. I also tend to feel tired more than usual for a few days after taking my shot but it's not unbearable so I just live with it, nap if I want when I'm tired during the day and that helps.

I get regular blood work done to check for the development of antibodies, I thought that was standard procedure when it comes to Humira and Remicade but recently in another thread found out that not everyone (at least in the US) gets monitored regularly which I find very odd...at first when I started on Humira I went weekly for blood work for the first month I was on Humira then tapering down to every month for 6 months and then going every 3 months which currently still applies.

I'm not on any other meds so maybe that's why I get the regular blood work done to check for the development of antibodies with Humira (I'm either allergic or non-responsive to oral meds) since you're also on Imuran I believe that's suppose to aid with you not developing antibodies to Humira but I don't know if it guarantees that you never will.
