Just wondering if anyone gets this?
Is it to do with inflammation in the colon?

Its like its on and off and every now and then, I usually get it when i wake up.
It's kind of like a Stitch.

I'm on imuran and mesalamine

How long have you been on them? Do you get liver enzymes checked regularly? Upper right quadrant sounds like liver.

Yeah i do get regular blood tests, and they're have been fine

I get that very occasionally but when I do, it's painful. For me, it's like a badly cramped muscle that spasms intensely for 15-45 seconds. It almost always happens when I'm bending at the waist.

I've never figured out what it is. Since unbending, maybe I'm squishing part of my colon?

Is that how your feels?

Yeh it hurts more when i'm slouching, but when i keep a straight posture it feels better

I have had that, my doctor wanted to check me out for pancreatitis when that happened as well as gallbladder issues. Turned out I had pulled a muscle! It is worth a phone call to your doc just to be sure.

I get it often. I am also on 6mp and my liver tests have been fine. Recently I had ultrasound and found out I have "fatty liver". I read some articles and "fatty liver" is manifestation of IBD. So check it out.

momto2boys: my husband had a mystery pain in that area for some time now. After many tests to rule out anything relating to an organ, I still say it sounds like a pulled muscle. When you were told it was a pulled muscle, did you get any details... like what muscle it was?? And how was it determined that that's what it was?
