Yeah, no problems with popcorn here. But then again, no food really bothers my gut and aggravates my uc symptoms, other than volcano hot peppers/chili.

I can't have popcorn now anyway due to my Diverticular disease but before when I could, it caused me major gut upset and increased my symptoms.

I really miss popcorn. Before being diagnosed it was one of my favorite snacks...

I can usually have it no problems. Now if I ate the whole movie theater bucket full then I may have a problem. LOL

Rarely, I will have gluten free popcorn.

I only have it when I'm at the cinema but it doesn't seem to be an issue for me at all, which is a bit surprising as I'm pretty sure there'll be some dodgy additives in it.

Considering the amount of that type of fibre....i'd have looser stool and see some in the toilet the next day.
What do you mean worsening of symptoms?...because you should clarify if you mean during a flare. We all aren't flaring 24/ 7.

It's one of my favorite foods! I've learned that I can't put lots of butter on it (at the movies) or I WILL get sick, 100%, no doubt. So I mainly use salt. Oddly enough when it's pure butter (not "butter flavor") it doesn't hurt me like the other stuff. I want some now...

It's the only thing on my forbidden list.
If I have popcorn on my best day I will end up with mucus the next morning without fail. Thankfully it's something I don't mind living without.

I can't eat a lot of popcorn because of my j-pouch, it is one of the very few foods that can cause blockages with j-pouches. I do sneak a few pieces if someone has it because I do miss it when I smell popcorn.
I remember Gary said that Popcorn actually helped his UC, I wish that he wasn't still banned so he could contribute to this discussion.

Never had an issue with popcorn. I have UC and significant diverticulosis. My gi has said he's never found popcorn to be a causing factor for diverticulitis and it doesn't effect my uc good source of fiber

Popcorn never bothered me (at least no more than any other food). I stopped eating it in 2011 when I developed a stricture and started becoming prone to regular obstructions.
I feel like I may have a stricture again, so popcorn is off the menu once more. I'd maybe chance a small bag but not a massive cinema box.

One medium bowl of popcorn does not affect my UC, but corn causes me to have serious joint pain (which I never had in the first 40 years of my life)
