Sure thing NCOT. Ack it was able, crap, not unable. Big difference... Sorry...

Crapp0rz. But in a way that makes more sense, since I have heard that the (relatively newer) mesalazine formulations are much better tolerated than sulfasalazine.

@NCOT how about using a steroid suppository in conjunction or in alternating days with the mesalamine one ?
No. I'm not talking something which is a systematic poison to my system, I'm just not doing it, not now, not in 10 years' time. I'm not having a go at you personally, but I'm sick of nobody really believing me. You trying to persuade me to take mesalazine shows that you don't really believe me either, just like every doctor and nurse I've spoken to about
it.
I'm not keen on steroid suppositories either. I actually tolerate steroids very well, but they stop working 2 seconds after I come off them, so what's the point of them? I can't take them as maintenance meds and the relief just doesn't last.
Edit: Okay, I've tried another suppository. Again, no problems with insertion or keeping it in. If I have no issues with this one, I'll carry on with trying suppositories. If I have no issues with suppositories, I'll try an enema. I'm not optimistic, but I'm at least giving this sh!t a go before ruling it out.
