We have posters that can be all over the place. Sometimes it can be caused by medications. Sometimes it is just their personality.

hahaha seems i'm lacking the basic vocab in English because i didn't know the word "turd". I've just checked it in Urban Dictionary and look what i've found:

Happy to hear you're doing well. Always nice to have a good turd, but a work of art? that's really impressive. Let's hope they are all works of art for many years to come :)

the purpose of sharing, at least in this instance, is 1% boasting & 99% my way of saying >

1. things will get better - whatever path you take, in the end, it will be better. will it be the same as before UC ? probably not sad there are too many variables, time being one of them - which leads me to >>>>>

2. it takes time - for me, almost 12 years ! i'm no different than anyone else - i'm impatient - i want things now - i don't want to feel like sh!t one more second - but the reality is, this US devil is serious stuff - it don't go away just cuz we want it to - it will do so on it's time, not ours -

Seems insensitive. Most people here are not in remission, and unlikely to be having well formed stools. Things can often get worse, not better, and some end up with ostomies, or worse.
More sensitivity would be nice, well meaning or otherwise.

To be fair, did you read the last post? They said 1% was boasting and 99% was their way of saying "hang in there".

"worse than an ostomy" ? makes it sound like an ostomy is a bad thing - i'm guessing lots of folks might find issue with that - and even call it insensitive to say something like that -

and saying that things will get better - how exactly is that insensitive ambling ? is an ostomy better than raging UC - most folks that have lost their colon thing so -

I am locking this. Please, lets get along. I don't think the intent was to boast, although I think it's okay to say you're doing well once in a while. It's good for everyone to see that there are people out there in remission and it's not constant struggling.

I also think there is a very negative twist on ostomies in general and i don't think it's anything that we can change sad Having had one temporarily, I will say, the negativity there does make people feel bad. Not only when they have the ostomy, but when they are considering surgery. The reality is, living with an ostomy isn't all bad. Obviously no one wants it, but it happens, and you learn that you're stronger than you thought, and you adjust and move forward. No one needs the negativity constantly pushed at them. It's a hard enough thing to go through as it is. I know neither of you were intending to hurt anyone's feelings.
