Flagyl - How long do side effects last?

I took Flagyl for 4 full days and 2 half days and had terrible lethargy any drowsiness. Much more than normal.

The antibiotics have totally knocked me out. I'm tired. Lethargic. Feel unwell. Drowsy. What shall I do? How long will this last? I've been off them for 4 days and the side effects remain.

Anyone else had Flagyl side effects?

It makes me a bit dizzy and gives me a metal taste in my mouth but it's never persisted after I stopped the medication.

Migh have Ben long enough to wipe out all the good bacteria too and that's likely not helping your lethargy. Are you able to take a good probiotic? I'd think 7-10 days max for the actual meds to be fully out of your system. Flagyl zapped me out completely, and I was on it for ten days.

I took it for a week following a hospital stay, and I feel like it took about 1-2 weeks to completely lose the metallic taste, dizziness, and upset stomach-y feeling. I did take probiotics, and I remember the dr. and pharmacist telling me to make sure NOT to drink ANY alcohol due to side effects. It scared me so much I don't think I had a glass of wine for months thinking it could still be in my system!
