Blood on wiping

Hi all, I have proctosigmoiditis ( UC). Diagnosed three years ago and use Asacol 400 X 8 per day and Pentasa enema couple times weekly. Now get blood on wiping every couple of weeks or so, no diarrhoea or urgency. Started blood again a week ago,sometimes bright red and sometimes dark red. Upped my Asacol to 400 X 10 daily and nightly enema. What is the max of Asacol orally also max rectally ,suppo and enema please? Got consultant appt in April but don't feel as though bleeding breakthroughs are being controlled. Enemas seem to help more than the suppos but are only 1 gram? Any suggestions to try and stop this breakthrough blood every few weeks please? Thankyou for advice gratefully received xx

A steroid enema might knock out that last bit of inflammation? Unfortunately, (at least with me) I do get some steroid side effects with it.

Uceris has also worked for me in the past to calm mild inflammation but then it stopped working.

I would also move up your doctor appt if you are still bleeding.
