Confused, would love advice

I've been off of all medications for about a month. Got off of entocort then. I've been off humira for 2-3 months. When I got off humira and was still on entocort I didn't feel any difference. I got off entocort when my insurance approved remicade because of insurance reasons.
I can't start remicade until I get remistart approved. But I also am not convinced I want to start remicade because in the past week I've felt incredibly better. Which is confusing me because I spent the past weekend drinking and eating pizza, hot wings, etc. because of the nfl championship games.
I don't know why I've felt better or if it'll even last. But my symptoms have gone from 20 bms a day with blood every time to 6-7 a day, partially formed and almost no blood.
My other reason for not wanting to start remicade, I have to go 4 hours to get an infusion and would need my dad to drive 4 hours to pick me up and then 4 hours back. Plus I would end up missing a lot of class. And I don't feel bad enough for that.

I agree with you completely. I don't want to be on no medications. I just also don't want to go on remicade with my current situation and I don't really know what my other options might be.

symptoms dont really correlate with inflamation
it can take some time after inflammation for symptoms to show up
as for remistart call them they are nice to work with, they might be able to help you expidite the process

I am a little hesitant to try lialda again or any other mesalamine because it made me worse.

I haven't had significant luck with diet. And I'm not sure now is a great time to try since what I've seen seems to require either time or money. Any suggestions on inexpensive diet modifications I might try? Most fruits and veggies give me issues, even when cooked. So I try to avoid those. But otherwise haven't changed a whole lot of my diet from before I was diagnosed.

Do you know for a fact that mesalamines made you worse? was it the first med you were put on? If you were only on oral and not combo with rectal, that could have been the reason you seemed to be getting worse.

Start apriso as mentioned (which is a lower dosage with more efficient efficacy as per manufacturer) and mesalamine rectal retention enemas. If that definitely makes you worse with increased symptoms then you will at least know for sure.

Something such as that would be at least worth a try while waiting.

I tried mesalamines twice. The first time I didn't notice any difference good or bad but my symptoms were severe then. The second time I tried it I was almost in remission on prednisone. It is definitely what made me worse as I hadn't changed any medication I was on except for that, I wanted to be on lialda for a couple weeks before tapering the prednisone. And suddenly got signifcantly worse.
