If it works for you keep doing it.
My gut is yes/no with fruit juices, some weeks no problem and other times totally intolerant.
I haven't had D in couple years but the wrong food/drink can trigger multiple BM's, the latest culprit being grapes.
Your research of cranberry juice being negative for bad bacteria is not a bad theory and perhaps you are helping grow the good bacteria with amino acids. Maybe you're on your way to a Nobel Prize in Medicine!
Find a researcher to do a study with 100 people with UC then when that's successful expand to 1,000 people. The problem is funding because if it isn't backed by money-making Pharma no one has a financial reason to do it.
As much as i would like to fund studies for uc or crohns... i dont have that amount of money, and i keep money away in savings knowing one day, if i get worse and am unable to work....i would have to support myslf.
also i find the amino acid thing very suspicious/perculiar...
it gives me heaps of gas, but formed stools. perfect stools to be honest.
usually with increased gas comes diarhea. very unique situation.
maybe amino acids could be working in a isotonic drink kinda a way.
but i am also starting to get heartburn from the amino acid supplementation. never had this b4.
stopped the supplementation as dont want to add heartburn to my huge list of problems.
