Neat! I hope it makes it to the market place and is not overly pricey. I've worked with spectrometers in the past and realize they are not perfect in what is detected, but can be a helpful tool. I'd likely use one when available.
I've recently seemed to have found a wild fish diet that is helping my stomach colitis condition and improve energy levels nicely. The basic theory of mine being that an allergen such as a legume/ soy, if fed to an animal will show up in the dairy, meat, eggs, etc.
In the past I would eat grass fed beef largely. It helped, but curiously not always. I've read about some farmers being dishonest and selling feed lot cattle as grass fed. It would be easy to do and I suspect it happens. Than again i've read that grass fed cattle are often fed alfalfa, a legume similar to soy beans.
