Just posting this article here as well as it may interest some.

Another recent MAP news paper article and was actually an interesting read. Gives a bit of hope and reveals some further information about various strains as has been suggested by a few other researches.

Brody's refusal to do real science, and his insistence on doing flawed study after flawed study - instead of actually doing something to advance medicine in this ares -- well that make me doubt anything he says works.

He is in a position to really help, and he keeps farting around with uncontrolled methodologically flawed crap. Time after time. Wither the man is stupid or a huckster.

He is in the midst of a very large phase three controlled study right for Triple Abx. This comes after remarkable success with their Phase 1 & 2 for RHB-104. Which has also shown remarkable success in their MS Phase 2 study.

Further to that he has devised a new way to treat ABX resistant cases.

He also has a long list a multiple proof of concept case studies - one of the most being the healing treatment and healing of Fistulizing Crohn's Disease with 100% success.

Ultimately he has advanced things far more than any other GI - not to mention what he did for the whole H-Pylori thing...... You know, he developed the antibiotic standard treatment some 25 years ago that is still used today with remarkable success. But I guess he did so using 'fake' science and flawed studies according to your interpretation of his career....

I don't know. Everyone has a bit of a different opinion, but truthfully that just means no one has a clue. It;s unfortunate. Perhaps as things progress more will be learned.

There were some reports that a strain of viruses, coronaviruses, were linked with IBD. Studies on mice showed an increase in coronaviruses in the stools of IBD-mice and IBD could be triggered by introducing such viruses in healthy mice

While in most cases the disease may be a result of environment and genetics, it has also been proposed that with individuals with the propensity for IBD may also be susceptible for pathogen infection which in turn could cause the strong immune response.
But who knows. In the search for treatments/cures, may all their blossoms bloom.

That's what my GI always said.

I woudl think if anyone had a good shot to respond to antibiotics, it would have been me. Between my open-minded GI and sepsis, I tried just about everything under the sun. I may have had some result, but after steroids, I was always back at square one. perhaps I needed some very specialized combination that i wasn't getting, but even if I had some luck, I feel like it would be remission, not cure unfortunately shakehead

Yes, I asked my GI about his clinic in Australia and she said his studies were all over the place and flawed. Of course she couldn't get into detail with me about it because I am not all well versed on the topic of this man's research, but she was very clear that his studies were flawed.

I'd put it down to professional envy. Particularly since every form of mainstream UC treatment can be labelled 'flawed'. Brody is a pioneer but cautious. Also know of people who participated in clinical trials held in conjunction with Brody at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and at least one whose UC showed zero bio markers by the end. This was in 2014, don't know if they're still running it.
