Has anyone tapered from prednisone to Uceris?

I was wondering if anyone switched from prednisone to Uceris? I know the long term side effects of prednisone are evil so if I was able to taper down to 20 mg of prednisone could I switch to Uceris for a couple of weeks?

I did once but I think it was when I got down to 10 or 15mg of pred not 20. I found uceris just as effective as the lower dose of pred but it was not an exceedingly bad flare. I would check in with your GI before you do anything because uceris seems to not work as well with everyone. I thought it was a great drug for minor flares. Didn't do a thing for major ones.

I tapered pred and went onto Uceris

What dosage of prednisone were you on when you transitioned to uceris?

I was on 60 mg and still bled. Switching to Uceris has helped to kick the flare.
