Colonscopy preparation- Dulcolax tablets 5mg

Hi all,
I will have my colonscopy next week. I have to take 3*5mg Dulcolax tablets at three 3 PM then another 3 tablets at 11 PM, before the the preparations day, then 3 other tablets at the morning of preparations day. Don't you think it is too much? Or any one has an experienced this dose?

No, I had to take 2 pills at 7pm the evening before prep day and then 1 the morning of my scope, which I thought was weird. And it didn't seem enough. So I think your dosage might be preferable... but I don't have a lot of experience with Dulcolax so let's see what other people say.

I took the same amount when I had my last colonoscopy done.

I am usually asked to take two before I drink the first half of the Miralax prep and then two before the second half.

Were you also asked to drink a lot of fluid?

The active ingredient, docusate sodium, encourages the mixture of water and dietary fat within the stool making the stool softer. Dulcolax Stool Softener does not hold water like some bulking agents nor does it stimulate the bowel like a stimulant laxative.

SO without the fluids to flush you out, you will be all soft and dirty - and not get you money's worth on the scope.

Yes, I have been asked to drink a lot of liquid, four sachets of colon cleansing powder and to be consumed in 6 to 7 hours. I have started and it seems to work well. The smell of the liquid is terrible.
