Important new study on the immune system and UC

I don't claim to understand any of this, but it was published in the journal Science and only potentially groundbreaking studies get published there. Here is a summary written for regular people:

Who knows what the timescale is for converting this to a viable treatment, but I think it is encouraging. Studies like these suggest a big breakthrough in treatment is at least still possible!
