All food triggered symptoms when I was flaring. What goes in must come out.
This for me too.
It almost literally doesn't matter what I eat. Some days are better than others, but even on a 'good' day I still have symptoms. My digestive tract still makes an absolute dog's ear of getting it out of my system. It's not a quick process either. I thought digestion would be faster once I no longer had a colon, but paradoxically it takes longer if anything. Presume that my small bowel has taken over the colon's functions to some extent, so food probably stays in there longer than it used to to ensure maximum absorption. On top of that, no doubt the rectal inflammation means that my rectum sounds confused signals to my small bowel warning it not to dump food in there or something.
My digestive tract isn't as big a mess as Brexit, but it's a pretty big mess all the same.
