It's funny cuz I'm trying to get into your GI. But I understand if you are having issues with communication than it might be time to switch. If you want to leave that healthsystem I would suggest going to dr hanauer in northwestern. He used to be head at university of Chicago.
I really like dr dalal beside manner (she was the attending when I was impatient for part of the time) she answered all my questions really clearly and was very patient. It isn't always easy to switch within the system. You might want to call your GI nurse and tell her that you want to switch because you don't feel like you can communicate well with the doc. Ask her if she can switch you over to dr dalal.
Dr Russell Cohen is supposed to be amazing, but, I haven't had him as a doc so can't say anything bout the bedside manner.
Make sure that when you switch you are very courteous as you do not want to burn your bridges. You may need to go back to them someday.
((Hugs)) good luck. I know it can be tough having a doc who is hard to ask Qs to and whatnot. I am having similar issues with mine. And as of now I have only succeeded in having another GI (yours) look at my imaging and labs.
