I'm 100% struggling to type this.
Muscles seizing & hands burning. I think I have Gerd or something worse than regular heartburn. I cannot concentrate & am very dazed. Bowel still water but funny enough I'm more worried about the rest of me.
Trying desperately to get into seeing GI. But honestly, I can't get to the shower. I will but don't know when. My poor dog.....no walks for days.

If this is candida; its hell.

Wondering how I'm going to ever make it out of this. I will but c'mon. Enough.

Can you go to a walk-in clinic and get some tests? Stool test, yeast test, blood test for infection?

Thought of that. But clinic only has docs...need to go to seperate lab. Worse case I will. Although I'm debating ER.

Nurse of the surgeon who drain abscess just called. I gave her the update....said she'd talk to the surgeon & call me back.

One way or another I'm seeing a doc today.

So upset....have plans for Sat.
Thing about me is that I don't bounce back....when I get sick I get devastatingly sick where I can't function. Once again, I feel so hopeless.

I felt hopeless like that for months, then I had surgery. I was so sick, I spent a week practically immobile in a dark room, with stabbing pain in my side. I barely moved from the couch - except to go to the toilet. I didn't eat, couldn't take care of my pets... It's the worst. Can you start a high dose of steroids?

The nurse just called back. She wants me to go to ER. Despite the long uncomfortable wait I think that's where I need to be. At least I'll get fluids ....

Sorry for your suffering. I hope the hospital gives you some relief for now at least and answers in the near future. Hang in there!

Thanks guys. Getting admitted for MRI. And doc said "we're probably going to give u more abx!!" I u equivocally refused!! Can I just get some nystatin???

I am happy you're getting admitted. It sounds like you really need to get this under control.

Why no steroids? It seems like perhaps that would be a good option. I know it sucks, but you need to heal some in order to allow for recovery.

Why do they want to give you antibiotics before they even know what's wrong with you? Have they taken any stool samples?

If you have an infection you will need likely need antibiotics because you are too depleted to be able to fight it off. Just make sure they explain what exactly they are treating you for. And they should be able to test for a yeast infection. You may need to be treated for both. Beg them for massive doses of probiotics too.

You are in a really bad way and now you are in the best place to get turned around.

UB, Good move to go to ER and glad you are getting admitted to hospital. Hopefully they'll swiftly diagnose all that's going on and together you can come up with a viable game plan to manage the pain & determine the next steps for healing.

I wouldn't rule out antibiotics totally, I would make them justify and explain the reason they are prescribing it....maybe you have C.diff after all the antibiotic use.
