Hey I was just wondering if I am the only person who is on a weekly dosage of Humira. My doctor just started me on 40mg weekly after 80mg bi weekly failed to work. Thanks

I am also on it weekly. Every other week was not putting me in remission. Doctor upped it to weekly and I have been in remission now for 2 years. Best decision he made. Hope it works out for you

I'm on Humira every two weeks and it's doing an OK job, way better than I was but not complete remission. I see my GI next week and and I will definitely be discussing if weekly injections would be beneficial, we discussed this possibility last visit. I saw my Rhuemy doc and he seemed to think it would be safer to go on Remicade every 4 weeks as opposed to weekly Humira. So helpful, who's right? 😧

Did you notice any difference, going on it weekly as opposed to every two weeks, as in getting more colds, etc? And did it greatly improve your UC sy,proms, as opposed to every two week injections?

Here's a little background information on humira and remicade dosing.

Everyone gets the same initial humira dose, regardless of individual body weights. Humira's injections are pushed closer together to dial in the correct dose for an individual.

Remicade is based on patient's weight when determining initial dosing, usually 5mgs per kilogram, every 8 weeks. Frequency can also be adjusted to 7 weeks, 6 weeks, or 4 weeks. For patients with severe cases or who are loosing response, 10 mgs per kilogram every 4 weeks can be used.

Verucasalt2.0, I didn't notice any difference with the weekly dosage as opposed to every two weeks. It was smooth transition. No colds or any other sickness. It took about 4 months to get me in full remission. Don't be afraid to go on it weekly. It helped me so much

I've been doing pretty good on Humira, I get a good week or so off of my current dose but I can definitely tell when it's Humira time. I see my GI next week, so I will definitely inquire.

well I have been on Humira for 6 months and last 4 weeks I started having pains in stomach and urge to have bowl movement a lot, plus nausea feeling came back and deep cough on and off. I went to my GI and she done blood work to see if the Humira was in my system a week after my injection and if so how much. results my body had absorbed it to where a week out from the injection it was about all gone out of my system. I get extreme tiredness also like way past exhausted to where I fight to stay awake. So result now is injection of 40mg weekly so as soon that gets set up thru insurance I will start that . praying it works and no side effects. best of luck to all who take it and know this I had such a DEEP bad cough for 9 years twice going to ent, lung and GI doing all test and result was RARE CASE HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT. Then Predisone for 2 months and then Humira injections and this horrible cough has went almost completely away until last 4 weeks.
