CDiff ad colonoscopy question

In May my Dr. ordered a cdiff test just as baseline and low and behold I had it. Today I had a colonoscopy and she did a Cdiff test and it was positive again. I didn't realize I had it either time, when I was tested last September it was negative. Can you have cdiff and not know it?

Also for the first time I had mri-compatible clamps put in, anyone have that?

Colonoscopy results
Impressions
The examined portion of the ileum was normal
Inflammation was found from the anus to the ascending colon secondary to ulcerative colitis, in remission (Mayo score 1 prominent in left colon). Biopsied
Granular and nodular mucosa in the distal descending colon. Biopsied
Friability and tears in the sigmoid colon. Mri-compatible clips were placed.

Don't have biopsy results yet.

you are lucky the c.diff is not giving you bad symptoms. your system must be keeping it in check.

your sigmoid sounds bad. not sure how whole colon (nus to ascending colon) can be in both inflamed and in remission. Nor how sigmoid can be friable and torn. Sounds contradictory.

if the tears in the sigmoid were bad enough for surgical clips, I would be worried about perforations. If get pain and a fever spike at any point, go to the ER sooner rather than later.

Thank you for your reply. Now I'm a little worried. I try not to let uc dictate my life so I think I have just become ignorant to symptoms, as long as I know there's a restroom somewhere close I go out and if I have to be excused 5 times then that's what happens. 2 weeks ago I was in NYC with my daughter and was hopping in bars and stores to use the restrooms I was having pain but being out with my daughter was more important to me, just made it an all night heating pad night afterward. I guess maybe these last two years are trying to tell me something :(
