Ladies---now what's going on??

In addition to the 2 large growths on my lady bits I now can feel my rectum inside my vagina!!! There's a large bump and when I press on it poop comes out.

Maybe the burning is from my rectum and is pressing against my vag?? Can rectal inflammation do this?

The burning has been more under control the last few days....I'm taking a gabapentin a nerve block and nortriplilyne (sp). I also used topical nitroglycerin which helped me wear underwear.

As far as bowel....hard to say, had my 3rd Humira injection on Thurs but have been taking imodium. This morning 1 large watery/mushy yellow foul smelling poop.

I saw a CRS on Friday. He couldn't explain the burning. I have a EUA on Oct 31.

Yes when I press the bump in my vag poop comes out of the rectum.

I spoke too soon about the burning.... It's back.

Help is very slow & my symptoms change on a weekly basis so it's hard to keep up.

One growth is a bartholins cyst. The other may be a peri anal abscess--- but it's inside vag (right at bottom). It's irritating.

I don't feel like "me" anymore. I can't stop crying. I feel so hopeless.

Hi I never went through what you're going through. I never had an abscess or fistula. But I had my fair share of vaginal issues. I had to fight yeast and also inflammation which was in relation to Colitis. I remember that I just bawled. I even had my mom call me from Germany while I was here in the States. I was still forced to have Sex under these circumstances (previous abusive relationship). So I can kind of relate to you on how crippling it feels. I'm writing this just to let you know you're not alone.

It's been 2 months of burning hell in which no one will take responsibility. I firmly believe the surgeon who drained the absecess on July 4th damaged me.

Today the gyne said he couldn't see a fistula ....that the large bump (ping pong ball size) pressing into my vag is NORMAL!! Yes ladies it's NORMAL to have your rectum pressed into your vagina. So he pressed on the lump & guess who pooped???

He said he couldn't explain the burning. Nothing more he could do. Crying again....

Still waiting for a referral to a urogynecologist....

Wow...i wouldnt dare express in writing what words I'd be using if we were talking.
I'm in shock by the response. And there's absolutely nothing normal about what's going on.

Who will be referring you to a urogynecologist?

Is there any way you can get into Mayo clinic?

Q- tell me about it. The Gyne dismissed me. Said this is a GI issue. I asked if it was a rectocele (herniated rectum; same symptoms) he said it wasn't. The original cause is bowel but it's effecting my girl parts for almost 3 months!! You know how bad it's been.

I will call the hospitals regarding the referral to urogyne on Tues. I'm also looking into chiro & physio as SuzyQ helped with contacts.

Yesterday I didn't have any burning!! I don't know if it's my period or the topical gabapentin cream I just started but I was on egg shells all day fearful it would start again. I couldn't relax.

This am I had an accident so lots of cleaning & a shower. I really haven't had a "proper" shower since water hurts. My vag feels "irritated" now but so far no burning.

It's thanksgiving here,.. Been invited for dinner but declined. Can't wear undies...& truthfully I don't think I can sit & fake that I'm fine or coping. Too emotional. Also declined an invite yesterday. Socialization is good for depression but I simply can't. You guys & my mom are the only ones who know what's going on. It's so isolating.

Trying to focus on yesterday's success & maybe the cream is helping.

Hi...not a way to celebrate TG indeed! You can always celebrate once you feel better.

It sounds like the gaba topical is what's helping. What dosage are you on and how often do you use it? It double sucks you have your period as well.

Did the gyne say why he thought it wasn't a herniated rectum and what it could be other than that it's gastro? ....even a guess?

I hope the referral is under way and a date for it will be sooner than later....and that the specialist will do all pertinent testing to finally determine what's going on with hopefully a solution. It unfortunately will take time.

Do you have contact with a GP as well?

Your gyn sounds like an a-hole. I wish I could share with you my gyn. She was very understanding and caring. She even called me inbetween our appointments to check how I was doing. No doctor has done that for me.

You're not alone and it will end. The rectum and vag are all close together so I'm not surprised to have this happen. I know this is very exhausting and you feel very helpless. I wouldn't go to any dinner either. But have you thought of a second opinion? I think you need to see someone who is very specialized in these things. Ugh I wish I could help you. I feel so bad reading about what you're going through. I know how tough it can be.

Do I also understand correctly that you're still flaring? Have you changed anything around the time you started burning?

I'm glad that today is a little better. Don't drive yourself crazy, it's not going to be your new normal.

My gyn usually tells me to do a sitzbath and I've never done them but maybe that's an idea?

Does the burning feel nerve related? Have you ever had shingles? Just throwing out random thoughts...

Andrina- thank you so much for the offer. I've been through so much with this disease plus PG--- but I can't remember ever feeling as fragile and hopeless as I do now. Pain is unbelievable in what it can do to the mind. No baths, no showers as I can;t get it wet or I burn. So hair wash in sink, shave legs in sink and every 3rd day I have a 5 min quick "shower". My family doc thinks its nerve related.....until the bulge came up in my vag.

Mom-- I'm so impressed that you remember! I think the ABX disaster is the cause or indirect cause of everything that's happened since, including the perianal abscess that was drained on July 4th. Done locally with 4 freezing needles, me screaming and thrashing on the table telling her to stop. It was 2 weeks later that these symptoms started---first a yeast infection, then passing gas vaginally....burning when I poop...
I firmly believe I've been damaged. She drained 4 tbsp of pus. My rectum was already inflammed from flaring and everything is so close together that it's not unreasonable to think I was poked or worse. I haven't been the same since June 1st when I started abx. I feel like when the CRS does the EUA on the 31st he's going to find a scalpel or syringe in there...like on TV shows, then I'll have an answer and an ending to this hell.

Bit of news; then I need advice please;

went to chiropractor today. He really helped me last year when I had the 1st perianal abscess. I thought I'd go back since this may be nerve pain...basically I'm trying everything, grasping at straw...I arrived at his office burning since I had a shower and pooped 3 times this morning. While he was applying deep tissue pressure the burning went from hot to cold, to tingles to itching. I haven't felt burning since and that was 4 hours ago! Could be a fluke or placebo or it's nerve related. BUT I'm now itchy, itchy. The last time I was itchy was Friday, the last time I wore undies/pants.

Since July I've been on 4 yeast creams (some different brands). I've tested negative for yeast/fungus. I have no discharge (except once). In fact since I started passing gas there I dried up like a desert. I know it's not wise to use so much yeast infection creams....but I'm wondering what you guys think of trying oral Diflucan?? I really don't know if it's worth it, if it will do further harm or none at all??

I guess I understand that its nerve pain given the burning but the itching is throwing me. No change in laundry detergent etc.

What do you ladies think? Pill or no pill?

I would go with the Diflucan. It doesn't only treat but also prevent yeast infections. So why not?

Well a few reasons:

1) I don't have any discharge
2) tested negative for yeast
3) I could build up resistance to treatment in the event of an actual YI (only had 2 in my entire life)
4) Even when I used the creams, bm's always triggered vaginal burning
5) I wake now without burning (unlike before when it was constant). It's not until I poop that I burn. (started burning after 2nd poop this am)
6) extremely interesting what happened at chiro suggests it's nerves

Reasons to try it:

1) I'm desperate for this to end
2) What if? What if all I need is one pill and burning /itching stops and I can get my life back? Just what if?
