Help! Ever ache like the flu for months? Find out why?

Starting with the questions.
Anybody else hurt EVERYWHERE? Did you ever find out why?
Is it possible I am just hanging onto the flu, since I’m on immunosuppressants? Is that possible?

I hurt everywhere. You know how you feel when you have the flu really badly?

I’ve been achy for a long time. Really achy. Not little achy. Really, really hurty, achy. Weird. Frst my hips, then my knees, then my hands and wrists. Mostly my hands and wrists. It makes it hard to work. (I’m a web designer.)

On August 15, I went to the hospital. I worried I was having a heart attack. Ends up it was Costochondritis, an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the sternum.
It has been everywhere since then.

That has just never gone away. I find myself breathing shallow.
Sometimes it’s a little better or worse, but I just plain hurt.

My BMs are 2 or 3, all before noon, no urgency, very little hot and cold waves during, formedish.

Monday, I called the doctor’s office and they had me come in and do some more blood work.
Then they sent me in for another Cat scan, this time on my guts.
They said everything looked good.
(Not very specific. Does that mean I am in remission?)

I’m currently on Imuran, Lialda and Valtrex.
(The Imuran gave me massive cold sore attacks on my eyeballs, so the Valtrex is for that.)

Glucose, Serum High 139 mg/dL
Ceruloplasmin Low 14.6 mg/dL

Do you think your symptoms are related to your RX meds? Meaning did this start before or after starting them.
Your symptoms sound a lot like fibromyalgia which I don't know much about but have known two women who have it and that's what they describe feeling.

In my early days of UC I did feel constantly tired but not pain as you describe.

I'm not sure your current RX meds are immune-suppressants, that term usually means Remade or Humira. But they could be not stopping your inflammation enough. Hard to say.

When my WBC reached 3.2/3.1 my doctor had me decrease my 6MP dosage to bring my number back into range. Has your doctor discussed that with you? You most certainly don't want WBC in the 2's as you're at a largely increased risk of infections.

I'm not sure you have to go off the Imuran. Maybe just a slight dose reduction would help. We're not doctors, you should talk with yours and get some more tests and explore possible causes for the pain. It's possible you could have a chronic pain condition, in addition to uc.

What you're saying isn't ringing many bells with us here, so perhaps something unique or uncommon is going on...

I felt that way and thought it was the lialda. It was not working anyway so stopped it. Had similar joint pains later and it was the UC. UC can cause joint pain. I recommend talking to your PCP and GI.
