Ok thanks also the british military don't do blood or stool tests as part of the medical so that wouldn't be a problem. I see you lost all that muscle but did you gain it back? I looked it up and apparently when you lose muscle you can gain it back quickly due to muscle memory. people on bodybuilding forums said they lost a lot of muscle in a few weeks and then gained it back in a few weeks.
It's not that simple. Can't just read up on it and be certain, it's all body dependent. For me, no. I came out of the hospital tried working out again got some back but because I stayed anemic and was exhausted all the time, plus all the bathroom trips, there was no way of gaining back what I lost. I got back to about
155lbs before surgery and 155lbs squats at 3x10. It took me 4 weeks just to get back into the gym, I started slow with pushups and pullups at home as well as non weighted squats.
I'm 7 weeks out of surgery 1/2 for my jpouch and starting push ups and pull ups etc again. It'll be a long slow process but without being in remission you won't gain back all that muscle and getting to remission can take weeks, months, years.
In terms of British military not testing, when you can't perform at a certain level but you look fine they'll eventually run tests on you, guaranteed.
